Newsletter: June 2012

I’m finally back in New York after a month on the other side of the world, hosted by WAMED (Perth, Australia) and Zumarrad (Christchurch, New Zealand). Thanks to my sponsors, workshop students, and the fish in the Great Barrier Reef! :) You can read about one student’s WAMED experience here. Thanks also to my capable assistant Nisreen for holding down the fort in my absence and for organizing the new Arabic Night shows. After a very full travel schedule during the first half of 2012, I’ll be in NYC for the next month and teaching every Saturday at the Flushing YMCA (see details below).

And if you’re in New York, we hope you can make it to Arabic Night at Jebon TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 27. This will be the last Arabic Night until September 12, so come get your fill of live, acoustic Arabic music, dance, and sushi!

Best wishes -
